Roadmap
This roadmap is to give a general idea of where I'm
trying to take Sandbox Zombies next.
- Performance optimizations
- Option to slow down time
- Level sharing
- Mouse + Keyboard support
- including modifiable hotkeys
- Steam Early Access
- Improved controls for player-controlled units
- auto-aim
- camera following
- Unit behavior improvements
- better pathfinding around sandbags
- More interesting idle (not in combat) behavior
- I'll experiment with systems like having squad leaders which other units follow,
or capture points units will prioritize. Maybe capture the flag mechanics?
- Ability to drag units/terrain around
- Prettier explosions
- Improved pixel art
I am hoping to work with a pixel artist more talented than I am to improve many
of the icons and unit sprites
- Sound effects
This is the biggest missing piece to the game right now.
I am hoping to work with industry professionals on this to make sure the
end result is great. This will take some time to do right.

That's all I want to share for now. I have a long, long list of
other features and improvements I would love to see in the game, but
just the items above amount to a great deal of work already. I might sneak
some other things in here and there, but this roadmap will be my
main focus for now.
